Landfill Gas MonitorLandfill gas meters are typically used to monitor for the presence of carbon monoxide (CO), methane (CH4), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon dioxide (CO2), and oxygen (O2). In many cases oxygen levels in landfill monitoring applications are below 15% required for a catalytic methane (LEL) sensor to work properly therefore, landfill monitors are often equipped with a infrared (IR) LEL sensor which is not depended on oxygen in the sample stream for proper operation.
