This model is recommended for measuring total oil and grease (TOG) and total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) levels in water and soils, as well as fats, oil and grease (FOG) in wastewater when using hexane, pentane or Vetrel MCA as the extracting solvent. The solvent extract is evaporated and the residual oil is measured— much like EPA Method 1664. Note: Light end volatile components will be lost in the extraction process. The analyzer is equipped with a built-in cubic zirconia horizontal attenuated total reflection (HATR) sample stage.
